Comicpalooza 2021

Comicpalooza is Woke, is Pride, is Respectful and it is beautiful!

Unlike the previous con in Houston Texas, Anime Matsuri which supported Trumpism, Hate, attacks on Social Justice and Inclusion, Comicpalooza was the complete opposite! For my article on that mess read here. Here is how Comicpalooza shows respect to its people and to its fans.

Clear signage! As to where Anime Matsuri moved its artists to the third floor of the convention hall with no signs to lead to them, Comicpalooza had both vendors and artist in one central location. Even then, they had clear and distinct signs to mark their artist alley! Well done Comicpalooza!

A celebration of diversity!

Unlike Anime Matsuri where diversity and basic respect for others was attacked, Comicpalooza was the exact opposite! Pride was celebrated openly and embraced! Booths sold pride merchandise! Costuming, Cosplay Merch, and other related art and goods were sold and no one attacked it or even blinked an eye! Panel’s discussed openly GLBTQIA relationships. People attending Comicpalooza did as openly as themselves! It was wonderful!

What was not present was hate! No MAGNA signage! No hate filled panels! No hate art! No attacking women! No attacking consent! No fights breaking out on the con floor! Again, Comicpalooza did an amazing job keeping the convention fun for everyone!

The adventures of Comicpalooza will continue in May 2022!

See you there!
